I had the privilege of photographing the opening day of one of the coolest new mommy spots in the greater New Orleans area- the Kids’ Castle at Lakeside Shopping Center. Congratulations to the team at Lakeside Shopping Center that put this little parenting oasis together. I know, it’s really for kids, but listen to the mom perks. Comfortable seating with charging stations and a landscape view of the play area, private nursing rooms and changing tables, gorgeous (and clean) bathrooms, shoe cubbies, safe climbing structures and the coolest hand-washing stations at the entrance for all little hands. Oh, and it’s free. Yes, my kids will love the snoring dragon and pumpkin carriage, but I think the true luxury is in the mom time. Kids’ Castle Sponsored by Children’s Hospital, The Parenting Center and the Family Birthing Center at Touro, the Kids’ Castle is a sweet take on fairy tales with a castle that seconds as a modern jungle gym. Thank you Lakeside, my brood will definitely be stopping by.
