Heyward, Kate and Corbett | New Orleans Family Photography

There is nothing better than photographing kids in their element. Heyward, Kate and Corbett lit up when showing me their rooms while I took portraits of them hoping to capture an iconic image of their childhood. Hayward showed off her love for all things Justin Beiber, Kate couldn’t wait to share her American Girl doll and Corbett gave his best roar next to his giant stuffed tiger. They jumped on their mom and dad’s bed and played on the gorgeous staircase of their home. My favorite images are the faces such as sad, happy, scared, and excited that they so skillfully showed me. I gathered them together to create a beautiful piece of art work that would make any family smile at the silliness and joy of these three siblings. Thanks for the great photo session!

Alice | New Orleans Child Photography

There is nothing like the beauty of a Magnolia tree to umbrella the beauty of a mom and baby in a photograph. This is my second photo session with little Alice who I first photographed when she was a newborn. City Park was a great backdrop full of rich textures and colors so indicative of this unique city where Alice gets to grow up. At 10 months old she is filled with great big belly laughs, four adorably placed teeth and these huge green eyes that look ready to take in the world. Thanks for the great photo session!

Miller | New Orleans Child Photography

I just love photographing this little boy. Miller, now 18 months old, has been charming my camera since he was a newborn. Now he’s even more adorable with a vocabulary of demands that includes “all done” and his signature way of saying please – hands scrunched together under his chin with a big drooling smile that would melt anyone’s resolution to say no. Good luck with that mom and dad. Until next time Miller!

French Quarter Wedding | Haley and Matt | New Orleans Wedding Photography

Just a few days prior to their gorgeous wedding at Latrobe’s on Royal in the French Quarter, Haley and Matt hunkered down in a hotel running into the likes of Al Roker and Anderson Cooper as Hurricane Isaac pummelled New Orleans for three days. They hoped for the best as they waited the storms out and wondered how their family and friends coming from all over the country were going to make it. Needless to say, many of their guests were so determined that they flew into surrounding cities and drove in to be here for Haley and Matt. The day of their wedding was clear skies and some amazing wedding professionals including planner Kelly Sherlock and the team at Latrobe’s pulled everything together without a hitch. Even Christine, the florists from Deux Soeurs, was able to create amazing bouquets from a local grocery store’s flowers that morning.  Over 140 guests made it to New Orleans to join in Haley and Matt’s big day, despite a hurricane. There is nothing better than photographing two people madly in love who really know how to celebrate the joys in life. Congratulations to this amazing couple!
